Dirt not Soil

In the third class Drake taught about the two hour and twenty five minute mark he is talking about using dirt not soil. I understand the differentiation he is making. I’m confused as to what it is being applied to. Is it in reference to the garden soil we add to IMO4 ? If so I have been a regenerative biological farmer for about 17 years. My soil has gotten to be something pretty special. If I’m training my indigenous microbes to blend and work with my existing soil I don’t want to just add dirt from somewhere else do I? Thank you for taking time! God bless you!

i think the difference is using the soil in the garden compared to the dirt around the outside we r not taking life from the soil but adding to it gathering strong microbes from forest areas mixing it with our local dirt to add to the soil stronger healthier microbes
